I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, where I serve as Graduate Program Director for the M.A. in Economics and am a Fulbright Scholar (Chile). My work focuses on applied microeconomics, labor markets, and the economics of education, with an emphasis on policy-relevant research and practical applications in development and institutional settings.
I am especially interested in how economic analysis and data can support decision-making in education systems, workforce development, and international development contexts. Alongside my academic research and teaching, I work closely with students and professionals preparing for careers in policy analysis, research organizations, NGOs, international institutions, and data-driven roles.
This site highlights my research, teaching, and program leadership, and includes resources for prospective graduate students and practitioners interested in using economics beyond academia. I welcome collaboration and conversation with researchers, students, and organizations working at the intersection of economics, policy, and development. I am a native English speaker and conversational in French and Spanish.
